To promote excellence in Medical Education by conducting faculty development program
To improve the knowledge and skills in Medical Education (ME) and apply it for education reforms.
To ensure the standards of teaching, learning and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate.
To implement the curriculum designed as per the NMC guidelines.
Medical Education Unit of Madras Medical College was recognized as Regional Centre for Medical Education Technologies by NMC on August 01st 2022 and 14 Medical Colleges were allocated to us in Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. Sri Ramachandra institute of Health Education and Research, Porur, Chennai is the designated Nodal centre for MMC.
NMC RC for MET, MMC has conducted 13 Faculty Development Program rBCW -7, BCME-5, CISP III -1. The Medical Education Unit of MMC has trained 870 faculties as per NMC guidelines
MEU MMC also conducted training program in topics of interest as per the needs like simulation based education, skill training and mentoring for faculties UG and PG Students.
Meetings are held periodically to facilitate the conduct of Faculty Development Program (FDP).
